a hypothetical question?

Question

if Israel attacks Iran without a good apparent reason and Iran retaliates and a war breaks only the two countries; should USA get involved if that could trigger a world war and/or WWIII ?
please don't answer like Israel won't need our help, etc. assuming that they need help.

Israels military is just a small section of the US armed forces,
and it's in direct contact with Pentagon.Any engagement it's fully supported by US.
Remember 1973 War in ME; The Yom Kippur War, Israel was just couple of hours from being invaded by Egypt, and Syria, when US intervened, and changed the outcome ?!

Middle Eastern countries...and that's most of them...hate the U.S. and Israel because the Palestinians were displaced to make room for them. They know we would go to War to protect Israel. They know that Jews are considered the Chosen People in our Bible. Jesus was a Jew. Mohammed is not, even though the Christian belief and the Muslim belief stem from the same source.

Many Palestinians had owned their homes for years, sometimes generations. They were tossed out of their homes and evidently not given recompense at all, or enough to make up for the loss of their land.

I don't think all of this was handled very well. To me, it would be like the American Indians deciding to take back their homeland. What would happen then?

If it weren't for the religious factor, the Jews would still be searching for a home. I can remember boatloads of them floating from place to place, with nowhere to land. The U.S. turned them away, along with everyone else. Britain finally gave them landfall in the area where Israel is today.

Palestinians live in dire poverty, in camps. The Israeli have slowly, surely moved into areas beyond that designated for them. They have not always been defensive. They are a strong, intelligent people and have built a worthwhile country in their ancient homeland. But peppering them with money while ignoring the plight of the Palestinians is not very bright for the U.S. to do. That's why a Palestinian state is so very, very important if there is ever to be a peace.

What would be a good apparent reason? I will admit that I haven't watched Israel all that carefully, but the little I know about their policies is that they are usually defensive in nature.
I'm sure that Iran and Syria wouldn't agree, because anything they do to Israel is OK, due to the fact that they don't think that Israel has a right to exist.
We have taken a position in this country that acknowledges the right of Israel to exist, and we have defended that right.
I see no reason for this to change.

If Israel attacks Iran it will be for a good reason and not for the oil, it would be a pushover, swift, and no help militarily needed that is from the USA. Iran's uranium enrichment plan leaves one doubtful as to what their real purposes are for and once they have a nuclear bomb, WW3 could be triggered off any time. I hope for everyone to tell me that I am wrong.

Who gave Isreal the weapons and technology the possess? We did. Who gave Iran the weapons and technology Iran has? We did. Who is funding both sides? The Bilderbergs. Who has everything to gain and nothing to lose by a war with Iran? The Bilderbergs. Who is controlling our government? The Bilderbergs. First of all, Israel has NEVER attacked another 'region' / country with out 'good' reason.
2.I am not Jewish, but I have worked, traveled, and lived in a great deal of the middle east, since 1958.
3. People , individuals who have never been there, and never studied that whole region's history, do not understand the fragile Israeli / Arab relationships.
4. The USA DID NOT ENTER the 6 day war, June 1967 (I WAS WORKING IN THE MID-EAST, AT THAT TIME) nor intervened in any of the other Israeli conflicts, since before WW ll.
5. Not with standing a massive attack by massive quantities of forces, Israel does not need the armed forces / personnel of the USA.
