It isn't dangerous just uncomfortable. I am 28 weeks and still sleeping on my stomach whenever possible. My doctor said its fine and that I am not hurting anything. Your body will tell you if you need to turn over while you sleep. You need rest so if sleeping on your stomach is the best way for you, then I say do it. Funny thin gis, every ultrasound I have my little girl is on her stomach too. Aren't genetics great.

Im almost 18 weeks and my doctor said it's best to sleep on your left side, but what ever you find the most comfortable will work. He said sooner or later it wont feel good laying on your belly. Im a tummy sleeper too and so far I've been good, it's starting to get uncomfortable but I deal with it because I sleep better.

Im not sure if its dangerous or not but i wouldnt imagine it would be as the baby is well protected by the fluid in the sac.
It can be extremely uncomfortable though as you get bigger.
I bought a foamy pregnancy pillow and would recommend that!

The only position that is not recommended is laying flat on your back. When you are flat on your back the weight of the baby compresses the inferior vena cava, which is the largest vein in your body. This can cause reduced blood flow throughout your body. You might notice that laying flat on your back in the late stages of pregnancy will cause light headiness.

I remember sleeping on my stomach! As long as you can do it comfortably, you and your baby will be fine. Enjoy it while you can!!! I'm 35 weeks & I just toss & turn all night. I really miss sleeping on my stomach!
