I wouldn't worry about that; Nature has a way of fixing mistakes.
If we become that much of a threat; Nature will act and we will lose. There are consequences to creating an imbalance.

It's not necessarily an error. People evolved to adapt to their environments, and they continue to do so to sustain themselves. All creatures exploit the resources in the environment, but to different degrees.
The difference between humans and other animals is that humans developed culture as a result of their rapidly-changing environment (probably in the Pleistocene). They developed 'cumulative culture' (learning from others how to do something that is beneficial to them and maximizes their survival and success) and people have been building on this foundation of culture ever since. Cumulative culture is a way that humans were able to 'evolve' in a rapidly changing environment without any physical evolution. They didn't have to 'wait' for the changes to take place- humans learned to use the environment to survive, through culture. Humans adapt to the environment that they are in, and still do.

mammals out lived the dinosaurs which had dominated the earth for many a year they were very successful but the little mammal was still there when they were all dead. Man might be in for the same fate but that's for tomorrow. You have the sound of a Luddite they probably blamed god. But they were wrong the new looms brought new wealth good or bad I'm not sure the animal called man can not stand still even if he wanted to

First off don't blame God or Mother Earth for what the children have done.
You all ready formed your own answer and you know what everyone else is going to say ,,,,
YES humans are out of balance with their environment.
If man would have kept it simple and not have been industrious , greedy, and so on,,,
Each person would have their piece of land by birth rite,
Living in the country their fore fathers came from,
Making an honest living with a trade !
Dieing of a natural death.

I find it pathetic that people still talk about Mother Earth but I am a geologist so the cocept is particularly offensive and juvenile to me. Humans are simply extremely successful. They are incorporating more and more of the worlds share of the environment. We are certainly the only species that would feel guilt for it's success. In my opinion, we should be glad. Most of the stuff that is said about the environment is blown out of proportion. For hundreds, actually thousands, of years, people have been saying that we are running out of space, we are running out of resources, we are running out of water, we are running out of oil, etc... yet it always keeps flowing.

God didn't make any errors; the problems we face are all of our own making. WE have interfered with the natural balance of things and are now paying the consequences.

I think us humans are overpopulated on this earth, don't think we will end up running into the sea like the lemmings but expect some kind of super plague to do a job on us, possably one we developed our selves in a lab and got away from us.

There is no error created by God, since God is perfect. Its part of His plan or something that we can't tell.
