pot of pintos on the table even on thanksgiving and christmas?
my granny sure did,even if she fixed a steak for dinner there they where right beside the cornbread as always.lol

yes my grandmother would grow her own pinto beans and all of her other veggies. it was always neat to help her pick the beans and than we would cook them. i still think of her when i eat them today. i think she had beans with every meal because they were cheap and easy to make.

Yes, and so do I. I like beans w/cornbread. Great northern or navy better than pinto, but all are ok.

No they had Great northern beans on New Years Day to bring us MONEY! LOL Hasn't worked so far though. LOL

my grabdparents have passed on but my mother who is 82 just loves black eyed peas and smoked turkey necks over corn bread. she even eats it for breakfast

and they kill the holidays with dinners that feed tons of people.
for Thanks Giving she made engough food to feed 48 people plus had left overs that people could take home.

no--we were hungarian/italian, so we didn't have those, but we did have alot of homemade soups!
