Nah - rather than damage my own soul by doing something that I know would be harmful, I prefer to let the universe take care of the offensive people. They may seem to have it all, now, but Karma is a wonderful leveler of the playing field.

That's a good question. I have to say that even if it were my worst enemy there is no way I would spread gossip that way. It would go no further than me. I too, believe in the law of karma. Karma says what goes around comes around and isn't it the truth.
P.S. A couple of months ago a neighbor shared some information with me about another neighbor. I know this info could destroy these neighbor's reputation. For months now I've been asking myself...why did she share this with me. I know she doesn't like these neighbors but jeez.....she should have kept that to herself. After knowing this about her I would never share anything personal with her. She has lost a lot of credibility with me.

I highly doubt it. I have been told for a long time that I'm not a hateful person, and I know this is true. I don't believe I've ever truly HATED anyone. Ever. So, if I did hate this person, I don't think I would use the information. Two wrongs don't make a right, and I would not want to hurt them, just because they had done so to me. Hurting someone else doesn't make your wounds heal faster.

I know, that the right thing to do would be to keep it too myself.
But, that's not always the case.
And, I admit that I use information against them.
For example, if my brother gets a really bad grade on a test. And, it just so happens he broke my iPod that day, I would most likely go tell my parents >:]
Like I said, it's not the right thing.
But, you asked if "I" knew something about someone.

No I would never use that information against them. I would like to think that I am a better person than that. It takes a bigger and more mature person to let that go and to not use that against someone. And you know what they say, what comes around goes around.

Im actual in that very situation and what I know could get someone put in jail for a very long time.
I was seriously tempted, enough to the point where I was about to buy his family's addresses off some people search thing. But then I realized that he committed the offence, not his family. How painful would it be to a mother to learn her son used a teenaged girl for sex at 27? He'd loose his job, etc. It was just not worth it.

its better not to use information like that against another person, even though if you really hate them and it seems like a good idea its just better to keep that stuff to yourself. if you think about all the possible consequences...
you might feel guilty later about messing things up for them and realizing you arent any better than the person you hate is
or
its just going to make things worse between you and whoever it is you hate. all rumors lead back to the person who started them after all.

it really depends on why I hate them. then again, I'm a person with anger issues, and no I'm not going to deny it. ever since my friend passed away, my attitude and temper changed to almost match his. its weird, but true. anyways, there is only one person I truly hate. they've crossed lines with me and my friends, they've spread numerous rumors that have hurt people I care about, and they're extremely immature. I normally feel really bad about doing something cruel to anyone or anything but in that case-- I would have to lower myself to his level and use it against him. he's caused so much hurt and anger around me, that it would need to end.

It depends on the situation, why I hated them, and what exactly the consequences could be. For example, if they had bullied me or threatened me in some way, then I probably would.
If it was somebody online I probably would, quite honestly, whatever the outcome.

Nope. I'd keep my mouth shut. Most people "know" how others are. Gossip only makes the person spreading it look bad. Plus I wouldn't want to be known as someone who talks bad about others.
