I find it interesting that you think you know that Harvard is the best place for Journalism -- when they do not even offer an undergraduate degree in journalism or communications.
The best J-School in the US is Columbia University. Other good schools include NYU, Minnesota, Texas, UC-Berkeley, Northwestern, Maryland, Missouri, Syracuse and UNC.

In general, Communications is weak at practically every college except for a handful. Why? Because it's such an ambiguous, non-academic field and a lot of slackers take the subject, or, for example, the football team.:-)
There are lots of great journalism programs. Depends on your aptitude and what you could afford as far as tuition goes. The tops, of course, are NYU, Columbia and Northwestern, but there are MANY credible Journalism programs at all levels of colleges. Journalism (and English: Writing) are much more serious majors than Communications, usually.

The study of journalism was founded at the University of Missouri, and the program is still one of the top programs of all.
P.S. This is not a commerical of Mizzou. I've never even been on the campus, but know several journalists who studied there. It's an amazing program.

i'm an Azusa Pacific alum with a level in Communications/Journalism and that i think of they have a large application. The journalism application has grown heavily considering the fact that i became right into a pupil, and that i nevertheless hear good issues approximately it from present day scholars. With any college or application you check out, i think of the main suitable way so you might come lower back to a decision is to flow to the campus and communicate with most of the college and different scholars in this device. that might assist you recognize what's the main suitable extra healthful for you. with your GPA and SAT score, you may desire to be better than superb getting into APU. As for the changing face of journalism, only by means of fact classic newspaper jobs are declining, that does no longer recommend journalism is going away. It only has a sparkling look. and that i think of that's truly important that any application you check out is addressing those variations in the sphere to maximum suitable practice you to flow into it! Wishing you each and every of the main suitable on your college seek!
