When there is an accident, and there are the Emergency Response team in place plus the Police, I stay away. They need all the space that they can get to help someone who is injured. I am not nosy nor am I intrusive. I do remember many years ago that there was an accident and that there were two little kids just standing there, I did go over and took them aside and did everything I knew to divert their attention because they were scared to death. That is the only time i ever interfered. All turned out well, and their Mom thanked me over and over again for looking after her children.

I think i understand your question. The terms stopping traffic has little to do with everyone looking at you and more to do with at least one person, generally someone stupid. Someone gwauking at someone while driving isn't paying attention to traffic, and inevitably get into an accident. Since their is an accident, traffic has now stopped. Its just a way of stating you are so hot, you cause traffic accidents.

its human nature, people slow down and back up traffic, I try and pray and just keep driving.
yet I have had occassions when a girl or girls pulled over and got out of their car, to ask if they could take my picture or other questions. I tell them I got to get permission from my manager lol. I dont tell them I dont want to be a star, and have the popperozzis take my privacy away, or that I am my own manager LOL.
peace up in Jesus care, David
and great new day to you too!

No, my job is paying attention to the flow of traffic. The person riding shotgun however had better be able to describe the accident well.

No, I don't like rubber neckers. I did stop one time at an accident that just happened though. No one else was around and I had to make sure everything was okay.

rubber neckers. when people actually brake if they see a tow truck or a stopped car, i get so frustrated. i was actually stuck behind someone who slowed down to about 30km/h (in a 70km/h zone!) to check out the scene of a minor fender bender. i couldn't even go around him either. i held on the horn and he didn't go faster!!! i don't want to be a speedy gonzalez but i'd like to go the speed limit...
anyway, i'm not one of those people.

Kind of hard not to stop and look when a cop is usually directing traffic around it...
