Very often certain subject teachers will have the information. Your guidance counselor, however is the best choice. Speak to his secretary first. She may have the answer and may very well be the one who actually computes it for the school.

Are you a freshman? You sound like one. No offense. Is your GPA on you report card? If not, then you can get it from your guidance counselor. You could just wait until you get you class rank. We get ours at the beginning of the second semester.

You can calculate it yourself. Take one semester's grades (or quarter or whatever grading system you are on). Give yourself 4 pints for every A, 3 points for every B, 2 points for every C, 1 pint for every D, and 0 points for every F. Give yourself an extra point for every PASSED AP class. Then, divide your total points by the number of classes you took. For example:
Fall semester 2007: English: B = 3 points
Math: A- = 4 points
AP Biology: C+ = 3 points
P.E: A = 4 points
Art: B = 3 points
Total points: 17
Divide by 5
Final GPA for Fall semester 2007: 3.4

If you don't want to ask another student to help you figure it out, most likely your guidance counselor will help you.
