All of us tend to learn better and easier when we enjoy what we are doing. Modern thinking and philosophy promotes making learning fun, so I believe that schools are supposed to be fun. That goal cannot always be achieved for a whole variety of reasons, including financial reasons, attitude reasons (of students, teachers, and administration), societal reasons, etc.

Fun correlates with learning. If a subject doesn't interest you, you will not learn it as well as you could.

Most often, you will need to create your own fun to make learning more effective. I'd suggest that you discover some books on memory (mnemonics).

School can be fun if you learn how to learn and make a game of it.

I think it's an advantage to have an environment in which learning is fun rather than drudgery. But my emphasis would be on the quality of the learning rather than on whether it is fun or not. IOW, I'd rather my child had a good teacher than a fun teacher; however, most good teachers also iknow how to make their instruction fun.

Teachers (America's huge army of welfare hustlers) like to pretend it is. Also having fun with kids is an easy way to keep them in line. They don't have to really learn anything if they are just kept happy.

yeah, they are supposedly to be so.....cause if they aren't,then how would we expect that our children to be able to be educated in schools?? Besides, its just another medium to educate people.......although it may look to be quite serious, but still the objective to educate is still occurring in schools.......by all means,it is crucial that educational institution to be fun......this is to light up the interest in the soul of students.........i leave the rest to you.......
