I consider myself to be English, then British, then European. I think that English culture should be recognised as distinct in the same way that Scottish and Irish culture are.

I'm a mixture of English, Italian, Scottish and Welsh. I was born in Catford so of course I'm British - except when I'm on holiday in Italy.

Born in Scotland so am Scottish, Scotland a part of Britain and have British passport so am British, Britain part of EEC so am also European. Quite confusing to foreigners I would imagine but whatever - I'm very proud to belong to our wonderful UK.
