When Abraham Lincoln made the statement" Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteursand should be arrested, exiled or hanged" was he referring to Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, John Murtha, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden?

Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. During Lincoln's time, the civil war was raging and as there are as many opinions as there are members of congress, it is not only possible but even inevitable that one or more "undermine" (as you put it) the efforts of the military. It was not so much as prophesying the future but stating the present. Today's freedom of speech free-for-all is just a matter of history repeating itself.

So, Abraham Lincoln would have wanted to hang Democrats because they speak for the vast majority of citizens who are against the war in Iraq? Nope, I don't think that's what Abe had in mind.

Unlike today's Republican party, Abraham Lincoln believed in Democracy.

Abraham Lincoln never said that. Some Conservative commentator (by the name of J. Michael Waller) made it all up and the Republican propaganda machine keeps foisting the lie on the rest of us. And some people are foolish enough to believe it. Or dishonest enough to keep posting it.

Don't take my word for it. Look it up yourself.

You could say that but during the civil war there too were naysayers and those wanting failure for political gain.
