- dishwater - mixture

If you have H2(g) and O2(g) you do not have water

A lot of energy must be released from the H2 and O2 in to formation of H2O.

2H2(g) + O2(g) --> 2H2O(g) ∆H = -241.8 kJ

Element - sodium = Na
Compound - salt = NaCl
Mixture - Crude oil

ALL organic things have in common - the element Carbon!

Popsicles are mixtures of sugar, water, flavorings and colorings.
Sugar is a compound
Dishwater is generally a mixture of soap in water.

In your container of hydrogen and oxygen, you only have those two elements. You won't have water until they have reacted, which won't happen until you ignite them and the react very violently.

Element: Gold, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon.....
Compound: Salt, sugar, starch, water, methane...
Mixture: All foods, jello, cookies, candies, chocolate...(Can you tell I like food?)

sugar is a compound. because it is a mixture of 3 elements:carbon,hydrogen,oxygen

2H2+O2->2H2O
2hydrogen molecules join one oxygen atom to form water

elements-hydrogen,carbon,nitrogen
compounds-water(h2o),table salt(NaCl)

all organisms cannot survive without oxygen .This the only thing i know in common between all organisms

-dishwater mixture

No, you have H2 and O2 only once you ignite them (after reaction) they would be water.

2H2 + O2 ->2H2O

Examples:
H2 Element
Ethanol compound
Vodka mixture
