Looks like he'll serve his whole 45 day sentence, or a good portion of it....let's see how much time male celebrities get compared to women for the same crime! Any wagers out there?

No doubt about it, drinking and driving is a horrible thing and should in no way be tolerated whatsoever....let's get that straight...but I just think it's pathetic to make excuses for dainty dumb broads and smack men upside the head for the same thing. The crime should be equal for them all and they should all serve the time and get help or just plain and simply lose the privilege to drive at all. Half these people are on drugs too and I don't care if they are prescribed, they mess with your thinking and ability to react which is how accidents happen, but I wouldn't call them accidents, just the inevitable finally happening.

Maybe he didn't cry hard enough, claim mental distress, and flash his boobs. Seemed to help the chicks.

Keifer is my honey. I love him in everything that he plays in because he can be either very menacing or very sweet - he does not stick to one kind of role the way some celebs do.
But that is not the issue right now. I just read the news article before I came on Y!A and wondered the same thing myself.
I think he will serve his whole term - he won't want to wimp out on the time - it won't look good on him or his character on 24 (which although I love Keifer and 24 - was not the best season last year).
I think that male celebs do tend to be treated differently.

That is a very interesting question. I thought the very same thing when I saw it on the news. Maybe Hollywood has a gender and age preference. Let's see how it all plays out. GOOD Question!!

listen, i LOVE Kiefer! 24's my favourite show and i've got all 6 seasons on dvd, yes, even that last one that everyone seemed to hate so much, but drunk driving is one of my top 3 biggest pet peeves. there is NO excuse for it and i think the penalties are way too lenient. i just hope he never does it again! i hope he handles jail ok, too. i mean, he's not Jack Bauer, you know, he just plays him on tv! : )

oh yeah, i just realized, Kiefer's gonna be in jail on his birthday and Christmas! that's gotta suck! and yes, i know Kiefer's birthday! it's the same day i got my cat Kasey, so it's her birthday, too! but i knew that before i got her, so i'm just a dork who knows celebrities birthdays! : )

He has multiple offenses for the same crime and he was on probation at the time, so his time is warranted.

All those girls, Paris, Lindsay and Nicole should have gotten much more than they did, but I don't think they had multiple offenses either, except maybe for Lindsay.
