Did you keep it serious or add humor?
If you've never had to give such a speech, you don't need to answer the question, thanks.

Hahaha i remember my first speech.....it sucked but anyway....My best speech yet has been about rascism, i spoke about it with much passion and seriousness. If you are looking for tips here what you should do. Start out light humorous maybe even interact with the audience but as you get more towards the topic get more and more serious to the point where someone looks at your face and goes like "yah she knows wut shes talking about and she cares about it". You have to really really be true to what your saying then and only then can you truely let your emotions free. You have to realise, memorise and emphasise the topic. You have to show that crowd that what your talking about isnt just a bunch of crap and a waste of their time. You want that crowd to realise your passion and be able to share. If you have any other problems or questions email me.
i dont know if you noticed i used the same trick. I started out kind of funny and got serious from their

I gave the eulogy at my Great Grandmothers funeral, she was 99 years old and had a wicked sense of humour so it was a mixture of serious and funny. I was nervous as hell and it was mostly my own family!! Good luck, what is it they say...just picture them in their underwear lol
