I drive 28 miles each way and it takes me 45 minutes to an hour. It really sucks.

I am in the same exact boat as you - I live about 30 miles away and it takes me at least an hour to get to and from work. Last winter, it once took me almost 5 hours to get home through the traffic. I was ready to quit my job and be homeless just so I would never have to do that again.

That's not that bad, but doesn't it suck how almost 2 hours of your day is driving when it could be spending time with family or just relaxing or whatever. I always take commute into the equation when I would accept a job. I accepted a job that paid about $5 lower an hour because it was only 2 miles away. That way I could have spent more time with my son at the time, he wasin daycare a total of 8 hours instead of 10.

I stay home now but my hubby commutes with traffic 2-3 hours a day. He hates it because some nights he can't see the kids before they go to bed!

My commute is 37 miles and it takes me approximately 40 to 45 minutes to reach the hospital. My shift begins and ends after rush hour so I'm fortunate but there is an accident or road construction --- watch out. I have had commutes at 2:00 am that that have lasted almost 2 hours.

On Monday I drive 59 miles to my daughter's but I don't have to go home until Thursday when I drive the 59 miles back home. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday I drive five miles each way. Takes five minutes in the moring because it is really early but 6-7 minutes in the afternoon because there is more traffic.

Used to drive 52 miles each way and took an hour, until I bought a house closer. Now it's 16 miles each way and less than 20 minutes.

I drive 24 -30 miles depending on whether I take the interstate or the back roads. On the highway takes me 25 minutes because I travel at an off time and on the back roads 35 minutes.

Im not sure of how many miles-but I drive quiet a bit to and from church- about 15-20 minutes each way from my house to the church.
Now in traffic-thats a different thing-30 minutes both ways-it makes my head hurt.
