Of course, it makes more sense to learn from an Imam but that will mean knowing about Islam in it's truth and entirety and does not fit the sterotype that peeple want to believe which is Isam as common enemy no. 1 - I can't believe people are stupid enough to be unable to distinguish between those who deliberately Islam bash out of racism and looking into the religion itself to see that Islam is the epitomy of peace - but then again...it's an easy target. Go ahead people, thumb me down - see if I care

Haha ... as long as it isn't ME your asking that math question to, we'll get along fine, no matter what religion you practice!

I have studied religions for over 25 years and I can tell you this much, if you want to learn your totem animal dance, your better off finding a shamen than some 'know it all' who read a bunch of books on why it is evil.

For the devout, religion becomes a culture. If you throw yourself into the culture you learn to respect differences and embrace similarities much quicker. (just ask a language teacher! ;P)

that's not a good analogy. a maths teacher has no agenda, only to teach you maths. maths is a pure science, so for most people there is only 1 right answer - every other answer is wrong

religion is anything but pure science. id say it was old superstitious nonsense that has seen millions killed and millions more persecuted through history, but then im an atheist.

do you honestly think youre going to get an unbiased opinion about islam from an imam? dont think so

there is nothing objective about religious belief, so best to get opinions from as many people as possible

you dont need religion to live a happy and productive life, whereas at least a basic understanding of maths is vital. maths can explain a great deal about life and the universe.

religion cant EXPLAIN anything!

In the modern world where we all need to find a way to live in peace beside one another Islamic clerics have a duty to Islam and to the world not to incite violence and encourage terrorism. I dont think these sort of people are best placed to preach to anybody on anything.

I do not support the destruction of the Palestinian state and would happily support peaceful protests asking to protect the Palestinian people, as I imagine would the vast majority of 'westerners' if given the full facts.

Do not punish us personally by bombing us for the incompetence of our governments now and in the past.

Kamran I got this site from one of your questions!!!
One of your answerers gave it to you & you thanked her for it!
How is it that you can say what you like, but you don't like it when we do. Imagine A 19 year old British white male going to college in Pakistan & hating Muslims & loving Britain & America, then posting anti-Pakistan comments on a website. He would be arrested, tortured and your race would NOT put up with it! So why do we have to from you,Kamran? You can only do this because you live in a democracy, with free speech & a country which is financing your education & all your relatives. No yahoo in Pakistan? Why is that? No free speech.
You post anti- western stuff on here all the time.
Did the pictures get to you?
As for learning about your religion..........I have & it means more of your people are not following it the right way.
Thankyou.
P.S. My dentist is a Muslim. She is a lovely person & she is worried about what is happening.

that's oftentimes been a reality that there are greater idiots than sensible individuals. back till now preparation replace into the accountability of a 0.33 occasion i think of there replace into much less complicated experience because of the fact babies could desire to purely learn from their elders who know greater desirable, yet these days basic experience and logical thinking isn't taught anymore and is not at all inspired among the non secular. practising Shaman... quantum physics rocks.

Well what can one say, I really think that opposing parties on here could spend weeks putting up links to atrocities on all sides. But to be fair, If Christians were to attempt to demonstrate like that in a Muslim country I don't think that they would last very long. I and a lot of others feel that our tolerance of others is being abused.

Well, technically, and you know I like to split hair, mathematics is a science.

If I want to learn about a religion or anything like that, I'd ask any friends I have who practice that religion or research online. I try not to visit propaganda websites, although some do come in sheeps clothing.

The website aside because it is clearly wrong, any one can undersand Islam or Christianity or Buddhism and not necessarily be of that faith.

Perhaps this is the misconception you have. You do not have to be muslim to understand Isam. You do not have convert everyone.
