Probably a gift card or cash....although we all like to get them.

I wouldn't be so quick to say a gift is thoughtless, at least someone took the time to buy a gift. They didn't have to buy a gift but, they did....
I am not crazy about gift cards because then you are stuck having to buy something at a store and if you put it in your wallet and forget about it, it expires!!!
I would rather have the cash so I could get whatever I wanted...
Some terrible gifts would be giving someone who is a recovering alcoholic a bottle of wine or beer... That is a TERRIBLE GIFT!!
Or buying someone candy and they are trying to lose weight!!!

Unfortunately CHRISTmas is a celebration of presents and commerce and has lost its true meaning. The world seems to be full of Scrooge's. Everybody wants, but no one GIVES. Greed and Ignorance runs rampant in this day and age. CHRISTmas is about giving, caring and celebrating the true Messiah and prophet of GOD.
It seems the politics of some churches have ruined the true meaning of being a Christian. GOD help us all and allow us to find the light in Jesus Christ.

Kitchen appliances from a man to a woman (unless it is something he knows she really really wants and wouldn't buy herself - like a bread machine or expensive blender/juicer - in that case it would be quite thoughtful). But I mean like a toaster or an iron or something.

socks, underwear(mens) bubble bath and lotions. and most important, men buying women things to use around the home!!!!! that is the ultimate insult!!!dont do it lads,not unless you want it wapped around your head!!!! lol.
