Well, first I'd take one day at a time. Savor what the season brings and don't over tire yourself shopping, socializing, etc. You want to stay healthy so steer clear of those with colds and flu, wash hands frequently and get rest.

Do you have a relationship with God? He brings peace into your life. Ask Him for peace and strength.

Visualization is very good, I used it when I was having surgery years ago. You run the same thing over and over while being relaxed; you see yourself in the hospital, you are calm, all is well. Your doctors know what they are doing, all goes well and before you know it, you are home resting and mending. Keep visualizing that, perhaps put on a relaxing tape with music too.

Take care, you will be just fine.

Try to think positively about your surgery and how it will relieve your health problems and lead to a better quality of life.

Plan a treat for after you've recovered in the New Year.

Good Luck with your surgery.

In order to decrease the level of your anxiety you should tell your feelings and concern to your trusted person or even to your family so that they will advice you and comfort you. By sharing your feelings thus it will help you decrease your anxiety level. Secondly, what you need now is the assurance that people or even your love ones will support you both emotional and spiritual. Be happy and divert your attention to other things..
