you probably got a tank full of water or water logged fuel. this problem is becoming more common as the level of alcohol added to gas rises. alcohol is hydroscopic (absorbs water) and it can turn gas into a barely or not at all burnable liquid. you need to drain, clean and refill the tank, flush the fuel lines and replace the fuel filter. if you can prove with a receipt that you purchased the bad gas (if in fact it is) the station should pay for the repairs.

this is common if you fill up in the morning or it you fill up just after the fuel truck fills the tank or if there tank is running low
i once pulled 1 1/2 galons of water out of one you will need to have your pump checked as it may have died check your fuel for water it can de tested at the fuel rail drain some add a drop of water see if it sinks or mixes addind a fuel dryer only works if there is a small amount say 1/8 cup of water if there is water run the pump untill the fuel looks good as it will take the water off the bottom of the tank

Most fuel pumps fail after the pump has been running with low fuel in the tank.Which is what keeps the pump cool.If you place cold fuel on a hot pump they die.
You really need a qualified mechanic.

I fear there were some water in the gas.
I'd remove spark plugs and see if they are wet.
could also be the fuel pump clogged by some dirt.

it could possibly be your spark plugs. engines start to sputter under everyday acceleration even if one has gone bad. take it in and get it looked at.
