The frost on your storm door window came from a humidity source, the inside of your home. As it gets cold outside the outside air becomes very dry and many people start running humidifiers or their furnace automatically adjusts the inside humidity for our comfort. When the inside humidified air comes in contact with the cold glass it freezes, similar to the ice that forms on the walls of a non-self-defrosting freezer.

More than likely the inside door is a bit drafty. You can try to seal the inside door better with weatherstripping and seal around the interior trim with a clear silicone caulk or paintable latex caulk with silicone.

We live in Wisconsin and have the same problem, I keep a small automotive glass ice scraper on a shelf near the front door. My kids scrape it off every once in awhile and then sweep the ice shavings out the door.

I live in Minnesota and have tried everything. I have come to the conclusion the only way to totally prevent it is to move the mobile home south, way south.
