When sober its very embarrassing, i usually get up and say to the person nearest me,"watch you don't trip on that". But when i'm steaming i just lay there singing untill i feel like getting up.

When this has happened to me, I just laughed and got up and said something like "Well, that was great..I must be the biggest clutz in the world!"..or something silly like " I swear, I'm really not drunk!" Most people will just laugh with you instead of at you if you just dust yourself off and go on about what you were doing. Just about everybody has had something like this happen to them so most of them know how you feel..I just didn't make a big deal of it.

It's so mortifying.
I usually try the "look around for something on the ground to blame" manoeuvre, then I tut and shake my head. This is designed to make me look less stupid, of course it doesn't work.
And have you ever noticed, there's always a gang of teenagers around to have a laugh at your expense? Don't know where they come from, but a soon as you trip, they magically appear!!

Lol i get so embarrased when i fall over and i just laugh! But as soon as i get home i burst out crying! I'm just a big baby
