He did not know in 2003 that they stopped, the report is only 2 weeks old.
The only thing we knew before this was that they had turned over blueprints for nuclear weapons to UN inspectors, and now they have created nearly 30,000 enrichment subterfuges capable of creating either nuclear fuel or nuclear weapons grade uranium.
We had assumed that they were building the subterfuges to create weapons, but it appears that they stopped working on nukes in 2003, stopped working on them, therefore they had been working on them before. We had simply assumed that they had continued working on them until now, which was a safe assumption since the president of Iran threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the earth last year.

Look, if you took the time to look at history, you will find that most Presidents have made decisions based on information provided them, that proved wrong in the end. Look at WW2 and the attack on Pearl Harbor!!!. Evidence presented to the CNC said couldn't happen, and it did. Kennedy got us in SEA and 10 years later, after LBJ goofed up and Nixon, we get out and had been getting the wrong intelligence all along.

Remember, Congress voted to go to war based on the same information Bush had at the time, now, everyone wants to abandon ship cause its " not the popular thing to do".
It is because of the dedication of our people in uniform and Homeland Security, that we have not had another attack, but, if we did, how many of you and how many in Congress would change their minds, AGAIN???
