No. A tadpole is a juvenile frog, of course. A frog is not a fish, so the answer is no.

I hear children calling dolphins "fishes", too. Educated adults and responsible parents should, in my opinion, explain that a dolphin is really a mammal. This can be fascinating to a child and is promoting a child's curiosity. There is nothing "cute" about an adult reinforcing a child's misconception.

Tadpoles are aquatic just like fish but this is only a phase in their lives as they are still developing frogs.

It's quite similar to mammals in the sense that the developing baby stays within the womb for a certain amount of time until it is developed enough to leave the womb. Like wise when the tadpole has developed amphibious attributes and is ready to live on land then only does it leave the water.

No it's not a fish.

If you were asking because of tank size and wondering how to count it (because typically you say for every one inch of fish you need a gallon of water) just count it in by the same means since it's living and pooping in the water just like a fish would. For every one inch of "critter" you need a gallon might be more accurate? :)

No- as frogs are not fish, their offspring are not fish. tadpoles are not amphibians until they grow legs & can walk about on land, as the term means 'both' land & water animal.
