Camera's - Do you pose or Do you run and Hide? DO you think you look better in photos or in person?

Im a run and hider. I always look hideous in pictures.

Whenever I look at myself in the mirror, I think "OK, you're not like - grossly ugly or anything."

When I see myself in a photograph, I cower in disgust. Why the disconnect?

I normally pose. My mom was a camera freak when I was growing up. I've learned how to take okay pictures. I don't really know if I look better in photos or in person but I think most people look way better in person. I just stopped caring exactly what I looked like in pictures when I was about ten. Haha! Got to love my mom!

I pose even though the result might be hideous! And, yes, there are some hideous pictures as a result

I rarely have a good picture taken of me. But, I know that there are times in life that I want to remember and look back on. So I suck in the gut and fluff my hair and smile for the blasted camera. Later I may still think....."Ugh! I hate that picture of me!" But I smile at the memory of where I was at the time. So, I reluctantly allow pictures to be taken even though I don't like it.

If I'm sober, I run and hide, however if I've had a tipple, I seem to end up in every picture lol.

Although, strangely, when I'm drunk, I take a much better picture, but I'd have to say I look better in the flesh, than on paper!

I too, think I look better in person, at least I hope I do. I've learned to just pose and get it over with, because the photo will be taken, and who wants a side view or blurr?
Practice your smile in the mirror, it took me years to realize that we can practice our smile and look as good as the next guy.

Run and Hide. Im always like here, let me do it! LOL... or a grab the nearest person and drag them in the picture and I stand kinda behind them..lol I just always look weird in pictures and I have gained wieght since high school. I guess genetics kicked in.lol..But I just am not confident.

Hell yeah I pose, that's why they been invented init? I look like real life, I don't mind! But I can understand how other people would feel about pictures. But then again you have to think of your children, they'll want to see you when you were young, they don't care if you were beautiful or ugly!

I always pose! I even make faces at security cameras!! But, with a few exceptions, I think I look better in person. That's because I can't see myself so I don't critique myself! :)

I like to pose when I'm with the kids but when with friends, I just ask them to take the pictures without telling me. They come out so much better, if you ask me.
