Guglielmo Marconi, at least I think that's who you're looking for.

There were a number of men that made radio possible:
James Clerk Maxwell - predicted the existence of radio waves.
Heinrich Rudolph Hertz - demonstrated that rapid variations of electric current could make radio waves.
Mahlon Loomis - made the first wireless broadcast.
Marconi - broadcast the first message
Nikola Tesla - the first person to patent radio technology.

To correct what is said below.
Tesla was the first to patent radio technology (as I said above), but he did that after Marconi did his test. Tesla then patented it and sued the inventor for it...

Though Marconi is still credited somehow with the invention of Radio, he was sued by Nikola Tesla for stealing patented material / ideas and had to pay huge royalties to Tesla for his perfidy (dishonesty).

Nikola Tesla invented radio.
