When do you stop moping about your life and start taking control? i feel like im at that point but everytime i try and do something it backfires...i try and finish assigment questions and then dont understand the material sometimes even ten hours after i first started...im at the verge of being able to start again with regards to my degree, but that will mean wastin a year in which i have no idea of what to do.....? Shall i jus spend another year giving it a go or shall i try and salvage what i can from this year and carry on pormising to work harder? What if i carry on and i slip again, and thats 50% of my degree down the shi+ter?

You sound like you are burnt out...from studying and taking classes...
If I were you....I would take a break...a much needed break.
During the time that you have to yourself...see if you can figure out what the heck is going on with you....
Do something completely different for yourself...
Keep it simple, take a few of these demanding things OFF of your plate and make it easy for yourself for a while....maybe then you will see things clearer.

you know i was kinda in your same boat, i started college in 2001 and and didnt finish until last year! i took my time, i graduated high school in 1999 and hated it so i knew i wanted to take some time off, which im glad i did, kinda.... anyways.. when i got in college i was like WOW i dont know any of this stuff, failed a lot of classes, i was trying, just didnt know anything... i felt stupid and helpless so i didnt go for 2 semesters then i was like **** this i HAVE to get my **** straight!!! so i went back, got tutored and saved the hard classes until the end, which worked for me because i graduated with a 3.8 i had to retake some classes to make the grade better and replace the D's i had from before. well good luck to you and maybe you should just take off some time, work and really think about what you are doing and what you want to do... good luck! Education is very important... you can either work at wal mart for 13,000 a year or you can become anything from college, teacher and make 30,000 your first year and 2,000 more every year you stay a teacher, or a cop and make 40,000 a year or a Dr. and make hundreds of thousands a year... well good luck in whatever you chose to do! :)

Whole problem is that YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE CONTROL. Don't even try that. Nobody has succeded that way. See example of Hitler taking control of Germany or Stalin in USSR or Musshraf in Pakistan or recently President Bush taking control of Iraq. What is the result? -CHAOS.
So think with a calm head. Take things as they come to you. I would suggest a couple of readings like "7 Habits Of Highly Effective People", 'First things first" and Anthony Robbin's Time of your life is now". If you want more insights send me a mail.

You should defenitely try to "save" what you've done this year. Ask teachers they will be happy to land you a hand before it's too late. Afterwards, depending on your success, you should see what you fel like doing.
There's always a chance to "slip" again... It's normal, to slip from time to time but as long as you "wake up" from it and give yourself a good kick in the rear... :P
YOU CAN DO IT! :D

Well, carry on. Try harder and hang out with motivated people. Life is hard in general and you have to have an "I can do " attitued. How you do that is up to you but apply those principals as above you will succeed.

A lot of people work really, really hard at things that they aren't really very good at doing. If you want to succeed, work really, really hard at the things for which you have a talent.
