I've been screaming this for a while here in YA....things ARE getting worse...we just had some nut job walk into a mall and open fire killing 8 innocent people!!...20 yrs ago you NEVER heard anything like that....and its starting to happen on a regular basis now....in the 40s and 50s teachers reported problems in the class such as chewing gum or talking without raising hands....NOW, we wonder when and where the next Columbine will happen...we have lost our core values...we are turning our backs on God...he's not allowed in schools...he's not allowed in any public display...........the words separation of church and state have been repeated so many times that now most people think that it is actually IN the Constitution...BUT ITS NOT!!!.....we need to turn towards God...we need to teach Gods Word to our children...and we need to stop this steady decline towards becoming a Jerry Springer society...we need to turn OFF the boob tube...we need to educate our children ..NOT INDOCTRINATE!!!...this country had better WAKE UP!!...

I find that the more people think about God the worse things get, as much as i love the guy and his morals, people don't always take his teachings in the right way and this turns into war. The reason they would take the bible out of the government offices is probably due to the multiculturalism in countries these days and as you said every citizen has a right to follow their own religion and not have Christianity pushed on to them through the government or anyone else

The Libs want it that way. They would love to tear the foundation of America apart, since America was built by Christians for freedom from government control. Breaking down the structure of a free society, is the first thing that must be done, in order to turn that free society into a Socialist one, which Liberals want. Liberals are Socialist, wanting free medical-care (which isn't free at all, they're being duped), and they don't want any freedom of speech that comes from anyone who is against socialism. Columbia, American universities, and their "protests" are proof of that. Break down a countries basis in belief, and that country is left WIDE open for their Liberal agenda to slide through.

as I understand it, our forefathers wrote a clause to be free from religion; not Godly morals. The freedom from religion was supposed to mean that there was to be no state religion, in order to prevent certain people from being marginalized and criminalized against, as had happened and was happening in other parts of the world.

The bible was standard reading material in schools, and many of our forefathers were believers. They just didn't want a state run religion that could inhibit the freedoms of others who were not a part of that particular religion.

Many of our laws were written with God's laws in mind, because as I see it, these laws promoted freedom for the majority. Example: adultry was punishible by the law. That act can tear a community apart, and can cause people to lose their freedoms in the form of death by those 'sinned' against as well as society 'killing' the adulters by marginalizing them and preventing them from buying and selling, even working. Though they were punished; the law was designed to protect them from committing the act in the first place, in order to further protect them from being harmed by the community at large.

Though it is not much regarded law now, the affects on society are huge. The affects on the children of the union of the couple are insurmountable in the forms of crimes committed against the community in which they belong.

That's the first example that came to my head. There's probably more to write, but I'm short on time. My instructor has a law that I should not be late to class.

Have a good day!

...Because it doesn't satisfy politically correct agendas of those who complain.
...The US has a long history of great Christians, yes Christians, which just galls the atheists, liberals, ACLU members, and Satan himself.
...In their historical records, the Pilgrims and the settlers in Jamestown spoke of spreading Christianity in the New World (this will disappoint those who oppose this, but it is history)
...Look at some of what is being attacked or disregarded today:
1. The Bible
2. Open religious expression, especially Christianity (prayer in schools and the Bible in schools)
3. The US Constitution
4. The complete teaching of US history
5. The home
6. The traditional family
7. The United States itself (9/11)
8. Individual liberties
**
...Satan fights hard and dirty, and one of his biggest victories is that most believe he does not exist.

We don't have to. Spineless politicians are allowing America-hating organizations like the ACLU to get away with removing the very principles this nation was founded on. Let's instead remove liberals from government offices.

We don't have to, it is the doing of those who cave in to the ACLU and other secular progressive organizations. The ACLU misrepresents the true meaning of the Constitution, it states the freedom OF religion...not freedom FROM religion.

You got it wrong the more god is brought into an equation the worse things get. How can anyone decide the best alternative to a problem by putting it into gods hands. Grow up the Easter bunny isn't real, or Santa, or god.

When your country was founded, there were native indians and buffalo roaming free, we all burned people for being witches and electricity had not been harnessed. Things have moved on, even if the church wants to hold us back.

It does say that... We need to amend the constitution to include "Freedom From Religion", Remove every single reference to god from every single government document. Being that most references to god were added during the cold-war anyway due to blind ignorant fear of communisms.
