Just a question for everyone?
What are your favourite hard rock songs from the 70's upward to today? Name of song and artist?
I'm just looking for some ideas on what to look for with music downloads to extend my collection of music from Queen to Guns n Roses.

Kimmy, I'm not laughing, I absolutely love Kiss. :) Strangely one of their songs is stuck in my head right now. :S

As far as Classic Hard Rock, you need to dip into the late 60's, for some Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix,

first of all, Mudvayne isn't metallic. Lamb of God is metalcore, and maximum metallic followers declare that metalcore isn't metallic. So for that reason we've Avenged Sevenfold, and on an identical time as i in my opinion love A7X, maximum metallic elitists have no longer something yet undesirable to declare approximately them as properly.... yet as on your question: why do you hate classic rock? there's a diverse sound distinction between classic rock and present day rock. You hate classic rock for an identical reason they hate present day rock. present day rock is frequently inspired by using grunge, and that's all has reasonably uncomplicated compositions. i could take bands like Genesis and GNR previous to Mudvayne, Godsmack, 3 Days Grace, etc. any day... yet despite, i'm no longer a large fan of the classic stuff or the widespread. metallic is the place that's at! And actual metallic too, thank you. Korn are not metallic. @Vynomous Drummer: Lamb of God is a blend of metalcore and groove metallic. it incredibly is undebatable. does not count, as LoG suck regardless of their variety.
