On the stock certificate there will be a company/bank listed as the transfer agent. They're usually big banks so they probably exist today in some merged form. Call them.

The only company I can find called Continental Terminals is at the following address:

Continental Terminals, Inc.
Building #54, River Terminal
Kearny, NJ 07032
USA

It looks to me like it's now part of a bigger company (ie: it got taken over). If you want to find out how much your stock certificate is worth you probably need to give them a call or write to them to ask who owns the company.

Once you know what you own and how much it's worth you can decide whether to sell. Just go to a broker and they will arrange that for you.

There are search firms like Smyth, but they charge money to trace a stock. It's really only woth it if you are an estate attorney.

You would have to check with a brokerage firm to see its value.(Open an account with them).
