No. People can have a different opinion to mine. That is what Y!A is all about.
But I DO (sometimes) give thumbs down for sillyness when it is not appropriate, "opinionated" answers (the type that put down others that everyone else is wrong), or people who obviously never read the question nor answered the question (like people who copy and paste the whole wikipedia article when the asker only wanted a three word answer)

The only people I give a thumbs down to are those making a sick joke or someone that says something that is clearly wrong and just wants to wind someone up.
A huge difference between a sense of humor and sick.
This is after all a forum everyone will have mixed feelings and ideas on what is right and wrong.
Love some of the questions on here and makes me laugh at the answers there are some funny people out there.

No. I give thumbs down to cruel answers. If someone is asking for help regarding her naughty 2 year old, she does not need to hear "tie him up" as an answer - I give thumbs down to that type of answer.
Can't believe I got a thumbs down for my answer.

If I disagree but they have made a valid point, then no I wouldn't thumbs them down. Only stuff that I find to be useless, or counter-productive.

Yeah I find that. Thumbs down annoy me.. but like most people.. thumbs up rule and we think YAY haha.

Nope. I only give TDs if the person's acting like a pillock.
If a person gives a TD just because someone disagrees with their opinion, it means they have no faith in their own belief.
