I think your question has confused some people.
It is not a violation to vote for your own answer to another person's question once that goes to voting. It's fair game. Why vote for someone else's answer when you think yours is best? It is not a violation. In fact, many people do it.
Those that answered your question with "No" may have misunderstood your question. You can NOT answer your own questions that you ask, so therefore, of course you can not vote yourself best answer.
If you're using more than one account to ask and answer questions, and vote for yourself that way, that's called point gaming, and yes it is a violation.

I dont think of its a contravention to vote for your self. you're in basic terms meant to have one account however. I dont understand why those human beings set up greater desirable than one account besides. you could vote for your self besides, without switching.
