If I recall correctly, the movie is about some escaped prisoners during war time. They travel across the countryside and find some Russian allies, one of which has issues with the black man in the group of prisoners. Later on in the movie, it is revealed that the Russian in question is a traitor, and he has a knife fight with the black man, wanting to see if he "bleeds red".

Hey guys, thanks for your responses. After Googling the titles you gave me, I concluded that the movie in question was Force 10 from Navarone. I guess my memory was failing me a little because my description was a bit off...thanks again!

THE GREAT RAID starring James Franco, its a pretty good movie, i really enjoyed it, but it is a bit disturbing
