I had to take the hard road with everything....a number of times. Maybe I was told but what I wish was drilled in me was you are alone in the grand scheme of things. Plan accordingly and not think someone else is going to care enough to do it for you. I've spent my life helping others achieve their goals and never spent time on my own thinking it would all work out in the end. It didn't.

you know... for some reason, I always had to learn things the hard way... maybe I just didn't listen, or wasn't ready to listen, or I just couldn't hear what the real message was. Older and wiser now... much more thoughtful about things and what's being said
It's been a long and painful journey. I had kind of a rough start though so I didn't do to bad...!!!

It isn't so much that I wasn't told, more like it took me a long time to learn how to listen instead of learning the hard way..:)

I wish I had known that it's OK to make a mistake and take a risk. Almost all mistakes are fixable with time. I grew up thinking I had better get it right the first time.

Well I think people tried to tell me, but for the first eight or nine years of my life I found life was a playground, by the time I found you also had to work at it it was almost to late. although I am very comfortable, perhaps with hard work I would have achieved more.

I'm sure at one time or other, someone DID tell me what I just had to learn the hard way. --- obviously, I'm a non-listener, so it's a moot point.
