OK i am 6 weeks pregnant with baby NO5...and was wondering what cravings other people have had and do you think that they somehow relate to the sex of the baby....
For example with both my boys i craved MacDonalds and Garden peas...
For my girls i loved fruit and sweets...
This time around even looking at an apple makes me queasy...and so far i have had cravings for onions and sprouts so i think I am having a boy...(probably wrong)
But i am interested in cravings cos my man thinks its hillarious that i am eating sprouts all the time...

Before I was pregnant, I loved savoury things like crisps, chips, crackers, pickled onions etc. Whilst pregnant I craved sweet things, and sweet and savoury things mixed (fries dipped in mcdonalds milkshakes!) and ALWAYS wanted cake, ice cream and desserts though previously I didn't even like them. I'm breastfeeding and my daughter is 12 weeks old tomorrow and still have the cravings!

thats strange! I also craved the more savoury food with my son and sweets with my daughter.
I have no set, repetitive cravings yet this time, but sweets seem to be a common occurence right now! But then I was craving eggs and mashed potato last night, lol!
I think I'm having a girl again but since I would like a boy my mind keeps going in two directions!!
Who really knows? Will find out in 9-10 weeks when I have the ultrasound!

When i carried my son i craved salty and sour food all the time, i drank tea where i had never drank it before, ate tonnes of ice lollies, whereas with my daughter i wanted fruit and sweets(just as you did) im now 9 weeks pg and am craving salty and sour things again, drinking tea and wanting ice lollies. Im going on the assumption that i'll be having another boy, but i guess it could be a psycological thing because i want another boy.
I did once read that cravings can relate to gender and boys like savory whereas girls like sweets, the same was said of conceiving, if you ate lots of savory food before hand you'd have a boy but if had lots of sweet food you'd have a girl. Don't know how much scientific evidence there is for that though.

well usually i would say its a myth and i know its completely untrue for some women but they do say you crave sweet things and fruit with girls and salty/savoury things with boys. i know for sure im having a girl and i have been craving mostly salty/spicy foods but since you craved sweet things with your girls and savoury with your boys it sounds like you may be having another boy congrats! :)
