Poor Gillispie dont even have a center or a point guard! His Starting PG, and SG is injured. Their 2 centers wouldnt start on division 2 teams, and they dont have a bench. When Gillispie gets some players in, will UK be back?

They will definitely be back. Gillespie did a great job getting players to come to Texas A&M. Recruiting players to play at UK is a much easier task. He already got Patterson to come to Kentucky, even though he had limited time to continue his recruitment, which began when Tubby was the head coach. I think that the 'Cats will be winning alot more games in a year or two.

It's been a while since Kentucky has had a true identity as a team. There are teams that are known for being a fastbreak team or as a defensive jugernaut or whatever. Kentucky had that fast break pressure full court defense mentality with Petino but never had an identity with Tubby. Coach K adapts his strategy with the identity of the team he has each year. Of course you could only recruit players who fit into your team strategy but that doesn't always work. A great coach looks at his team and sees its strengths and weakness and develops a strategy that maximizes the teams strengths and compensates for it's weaknesses. Gillespie needs to figure out (if he hasn't already) what kind of identity he is looking for. Until they have that sense of identity they will be all over the place and lose to teams like Gardner Webb on occasion.

Kentucky isn't the powerhouse team they were in the past. It's going to take an act of God to get them back on track. It could happen but more than likely not in the near future.
Gillespie is "rebuilding" and recruits know that. Who wants to play for a medeocre team that is always hurt or starting at square one?

No because elite players only play for 1 year now and it doesn't give a team enough time to gel.

They will, but it will take some time, maybe a year or two.
