As the poster above said, "New Israeli Shequel" or NIS for short. In Hebrew, its "Sheqel Chadash".
That currency was introduced to replace the old Shekel, hence the "New" in the name.
For the record, the Hebrew letter "Kuf" is usually transliterated using the letter "K". However, official Israel policy is to use a "Q" (historical reasons that date back to some British linguist at the beginning of the 20th century), hence the Sheqel instead of Shekel.

Just because someone's sexual preference is different from yours, doesn't affect his ability to shoot a rifle!!! Gays are NOT insane! If truth be known, half the men in this world has had homosexual feelings and has committed the act. If you took ALL those men AND women out of the picture, we wouldn't have much of an army!!! What has money got to do with gays being in the army anyway!?

"New Israeli Sheqel"
As a note, in some places you may find it spelled "Shekel" or some other variation.
