...damn good thing I keep a respectably well-informed thumb on the pulse of the sci-fi & fantasy genre, as well as rare, obscure and unceremonious DVD releases; you're talking about the cheezy 1980 sci-fi fantasy flick, "Gamera, Super Monster". In the film, an invading alien vanguard advance scout, with intents of conquering the Earth, must contend with Earth's mighty protector, the giant, fang-toothed, fire-breathing, jet-propelled turtle, Gamera; to do this, the evil alien scout revives and unleashes all of Gamera's previous enemies (...Gyos, Baragon, Virus, Zigra, Jiger, etc.), to do battle with him (...thanks to regurgitated battle footage from nearly all of Gamera's previous films). Three space woman superheroes, with the ability of transforming into human guises (...as well as shrinking down, to fit in various hiding places...like purses, travel cases, their spaceship, etc.) enlist the aid of some children, to seek out, avert and conquer the insidious plans of the alien invader...and give ol' Gamera a break in the battle!!!
I recently happened upon the film, when I purchased the six-disc DVD collection, called "Elvira's Movie Macabre Double Features"; the film was paired with another cheezy, albeit enjoyable sci-fi groaner, entitled "They Came from Beyond Space". What's real cool about this disc (...as well as the other DVDs in the collection), is that you can watch the film straight through, with no interruptions, or you can watch it, with the interluding Elvira herself, breaking into the film, from time to time, with her trademark heckling quips about the film being featured...
...check out the Gamera disc, as well as the rest of the discs, below!!!

My husband was a huge Ultraman fan, but I've never heard of Johnny Socko. I can't tell ya where to get the DVD. My husband only has an Ultraman collectible figure. Sorry.

Just click on the film title, and it will take you to that film's Wikipage! From there, you can research elsewhere.
