What do you think of the Dog the Bounty Hunter situation? I believe that its been blow way out of proportion. Yes we know he said the word... But it was in a private conversation, That was illegally taped, The conversation was taken completely out of context, So do you honestly believe that he should lose his show because of this private conversation? Or do you think that A&E should strictly look at what he has done for his community and base their decision on the good he is actually doing? Please all honest answers I don't want anyone calling me a racist here, I just want an objective debate on the situation. I like him, I feel that if Imus can get his show back, then why does Duane Chapman need to be hung in the street over the same thing?

last I check BananaMan this was an open forum and as long as i was not offending anyone I had the right to post a question with any title I felt appropriate! So if you did not like my question, or title... he's a clue sweety.. don't bother to answer the question. Not hard I do it several times a night while i am looking through questions. And last I checked when I read the community guide lines there was no section on posting a title to BananaMan's high standards. lol thank you drive through!

What has he done for the community that any other Joe making tons of money would not have done????????????
But should someone lose their job, because they are racist........NO...unless it pertains to being racist towards someone at your place of employment. He should not have lost his job, but I don't think he should be upon the pedestal that most people put him.....to me, he is the atypical trash.

I dont agree with the words he used and ive only heard about it, i never listened to the taping. He shouldnt have been taped but at the same time now that he was and its out people dont see him the same. Hes in a bad position because hes on a show that a lot of people might not watch now so im sure the broadcasting people dont want to keep him on if they think it will upset the community. I guess i need to hear his side. I heard he was in a few interviews but i missed them so i dont really know what to think. Everyone makes mistakes but he really feels that way about people he shouldnt be on air. If he used the word loosely and didnt mean it in such a bad way then he can be forgiven more easily

After Duane apologized he said something along the lines of "it was never supposed to be that way" or SOMETHING along those lines, I hate it when someone makes intentional racial remarkes and then tries to cover it up like "oh i was having a bad day" etc sometimes when pushed into a corner we say lots of hurtful things we dont mean...does this justify him? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Should they cancel his show? yes. should they let him back on? No. will they let his show comeback? probably...you saw what happened to Imus

Depending on where the conversation took place, it may have been perfectly legal if at least one party was aware of the recording. As for the whole reaction, the network probably made more of a marketing decision rather than a moral one, as they knew quite a few people would take the recording the 'wrong' way.
I haven't heard it, so I can't give my own reaction, but network execs tend to be pretty sensitive to politically touchy subjects.

Dog Chapman is a great man, he has done so much to help everyone he can. I dare anyone out there to tell me they haven't ever said something they regret. He was illegally recorded and should not be punished for his feelings. I am not racist but I am human and so is Dog. People just need to learn how to forgive and forget.

Free speech people! He can say whatever he wants! so can you and I. A & E is under political and financial pressure and had to react the way they did. For the best of the complete company. This world is really starting to tick me off.

How about we're so shallow as a culture that we make icons out of people that do not deserve it?
I don't give a Bounty Hunter's Behind what happens to him. Loudmouth, egomaniac, and a jerk to boot.
Who cares?

wooow. you really made me sleep. im sorry i violated the community guidelines but please next time when you ask a question be specific, and dont ask questions like "so honestly answer me this" because that way we have to waste our time to see what the real question is.
