There is no such thing as the adrenalin gland. There are, however, two adrenal glands. These glands, which sit on top of the kidneys like little hats, secrete adrenalin when your body needs it to work with certain stress situations like self defense.

The adrenal glands will open involuntarily if you are in a stressful situation i.e. life or death. You cannot however open them 'at will'. Epinephrine is an artificial form of adrenaline which can be injected into the blood when required. It is extremely potent (it is actually used to bring people back from the dead after cardiac arrest), but unless you want to carry around a needle and a vial of it around with you everywhere i wouldn't recommend it :) also it is very hard to get unless you're a doctor. Not sure if this is true but some nasal sprays use epinephrine in low concentrations, you could try that. I recommend that you watch the movie 'Crank' lol it might give you ideas on how to fire your adrenal glands when needed.

there are drugs, and there is in fact artificial adrenaline (epinephrine or something like that) that you can inject into your blood stream.
intense physical activities and stressful situations also release adrenaline.

i believe the only way to open it is when you fear your life is in danger and your body releases pain killers to all your muscles to cause them to feel less pain thus multiplying your strength but i dont believe that you can at will
