ok....so youve got your fabric of space imagined in your head......now place a dense star on it (the fabric becoes indented now) now ......now place an "earth on it".....now put the earth in an orbit (any direction).....so youve got your picture now right?

good......now why does the earth stay there and not bounce out.....it is as though the earth is falling towards the sun on the inclined plane but is stable because it is rotating in its orbit (Centrifugal force)

i think it stays there because the fabric of space time is moving up , therefore pushing down on the earth...) (newtons third law of motion)..

i hope you can help me with this please)

please

Gravity is not a force like other forces, but is a consequence of the fact that 4-dimensional space-time is not flat: it is curved, or "wraped", by the distribution of mass and energy in it. Bodies like the earth are not made to move on curved orbits by a force called gravity; instead, they follow the nearest thing to a straight path in a curved space, which is called a geodesic.

A geodesic is the shortest path between two nearby points. For example, the surface of the earth is a 2-dimensional curved space. A geodesic on the earth is called a great circle, and is the shortest route between 2 points. As the geodesic is the shortest path between any 2 airports, this is the route an airline navigator will tell the pilot to fly along.

In general relativity, bodies always follow straight lines in 4D space-time, but they nevertheless appear to us to move along curved paths in our 3D space. (This is rather like watching an airplane flying over hilly ground. Although it follows a straight line in 3D space, its shadow follows a curved path on the 2D ground.)

You are treating the fabric of space as something that can physically be moved or riped. The fabric of space can not be compared with a cloth or a slim plastic sheet. It is massive and we are more intertwinded into the fabric then pressing against it. Maybe that is what you are missing is a new why to look at it. We help make up the fabric of space we are not against it or in it. We are it.

The "fabric of space-time" is a metaphor used to help people understand curvature in four dimensions. There is no actual fabric, and things don't bounce on it.

Additionally, it is centripetal (towards the center) force that keeps objects in orbit, not centrifugal (away from the center).

seems to me that an object in orbit ( earth ) around another object ( sun ) that never spirals into the center object is orbiting the center object at the exact speed necessary to keep it from flying out into space. Since the earth is orbiting the sun in outter space there is no drag to slow down the earths orbiting speed.

because of the fact we are interior the gap time universe . we can only do mathematical mind's eye of what it "would fairly be" Einstein develops techniques that are consistent with very progressed arithmetic and mind's eye "dimensions" are no longer only what we see yet mathematical varialbes like ( x,y, z, t, p, q, r ) math equations could have as many dimensions because of the fact the mathemetician needs for the project there are some people who've theories that require 11 dimesnions to describe the universe. that would not recommend the belief is "suitable" only that whether that's a good description of what fairly is, then it takes 11 variables to describe it that's very nearly impossible for many persons to comprehend ( alongside with me) they'd be no greater advantageous than "Harry Potter magic" different than he makes very specific predictions relating to the orbit of Mercury, the easy from distant stars that pass on the edge of the sunlight ( we can only see them for the duration of and eclipse whilst the bright sunlight is blocked) and a proof of power and mass that does are watching for Atomic bombs there's a asserting: Mass tells area the thank you to bend and bent area tells Mass the thank you to pass sounds stunning yet what does it recommend?

The concept of space and time is difficult to grasp. In my opinion, time is a man made thing, he needed it to calculate speed and distance of movement. I have a five page article on the subject, if you are curious contact me at

This is not an error in the facbric of space-time.

This is an error in your understanding of the fabric of spacetime.

In any other area of physics, it seems, if someone doesn't understand something they say "I don't understand this." In Relativity, somehow, if someone doesn't understand something it's always, "I've just proven Einstein wrong!"
