Not anymore . Vinyl for me. Digital does not always imply better sound quality in the case of music reproduction. There is something missing from CD sound.Or ,maybe there is something added.Anyway the sound is not natural .The Compact Disc was invented to replace 12 inch Vinyl Records which are large, easily damaged, and suffered with wear from contact with a stylus. Also they are more noisy with "clicks and pops"But you know what ? They did not go away, they are more popular now than ever because people are discovering [what i have known all along] they sound more musical than CDs. I have been playing them for over 40 years and they still sound brand new.Of course you need a good Turntable,Tone Arm, and pick-up Cartridge to extract the maximum information from the record groove.

Once I burn it to my MP3 and like the majority of the songs by the artist, I will buy a cd to support the artist once in a while. Especially if I really like them.

I do...not only that, I rip tracks off them and make my own compilations as well, it's fun....I buy downloads too, but I love going into a music store with a little extra money and a lot of extra time. Time for a shameless plug......Record Rama in Wexford PA is like Mecca for a music lover.

I do. Most of the music I purchase is classical and cannot be bought as MP3's. I also do not want the reduction in sound quality that compression into the MP3 format brings.
