When they are hiding behind a computer generated image or a false pic. I say good on people for being brave enough to put their real pic up.
Why are people so nasty and say things like they look like they came out of a rear end of a dog, when the person does nothing to solicit these comments?

In every group there are good apples and bad apples. Just look for the good and filter out the bad. That's all you can do. Perhaps report them if you think it is bad enough, but I would not even bother.

I've never come across people who tease people who put their real picture up, but I do think that you shouldn't... Depending on your age of course but I do feel a little discomforted about it. I am irritated when I see young people putting their pics up because it's dangerous... there's so many people out there and they're showing their faces... I've always thought of it to be dangerous and I would definitely discourage it. Plus, the avatar looks better! You can barely even see the picture.

The really sad thing is how much nastiness there is in human nature. A lot of goodness but a lot of the opposite too. I suppose people like to criticize and judge, because it makes them feel superior. It's a sign of insecurity; if one were secure within oneself one would have no need to make oneself feel superior.

I've never had any negative comments due to using a real pic of me? I have however found someone who loves me for who I am! not for some fake idea of what I am (which is what the CG Avatars are)!

I make fun of people in need of grammatical corrections who make indignant rants about others. "I say good ON people" "the person does nothing to solicit" would be "I say, good FOR people who" or "does nothing to elicit." I hope they are not soliciting (prostitution) online Yahoo. Nice try, anyway.

Because people are very mean...anyone who makes fun of someone for no reason is obviously mentally defective. The comment that you mentioned is just a testament to the immaturity of the people who frequent these sites.

but so far i have no problem putting my picture except tht one TIME a nasty guy --when i asked a provoke question he dont seem satisfy and he just curse my picture

this is my real picture, and you can't say ANYTHING i haven't already heard. water off a duck's back. to answer your question, it is just an inferiority complex coming through. people don't like themselves or their life, so they try to feel superior by degrading others. and if they are hiding behind an anonymous cartoon, their opinion means less than nothing.

No one has ever said anything mean about me.... and actually I have met a very DEAR friend for life because he had the balls to put his pic up instead of an avatar!

Who knows? Mean spirited people just give no thought to the effect their nasty words can have on others. I can't imagine it really makes them feel good.
