In the movie Mr. Brooks, Kevin Costner plays a man that is addicted to killing random people. It isn't spur of the moment, he plans and premeditates it very well, so I wouldn't consider it to be a psychotic condition, it's played out as more of a hobby. I was just wondering if this was an actual medical condition.

Of course it's psychopathic. Besides, what is there to do in life after you've cut someone up with a chain-saw and buried them in your basement; Get married, start a family? Go back to school, finish you're degree, or maybe take up tennis! oooh, that's sounds fun.

This person would be a serial killer. It is a psychotic condition, no matter that the killer thinks it's a hobby. It's not.
