I know that we can not be racist but how come we always have to put out our customs behind others.

People of other cultures come to Australia, they choose to. If they are not Christian, we can not stop our Christmas celebrations, or make it ‘low key’ just because they are here.

Why do we have to do this?

Yes, as Christians we respect others, but when do we get to actually celebrate being Christian? If it is always seen as being racist then aren’t they accusing us of the same thing they are doing to us-not letting us celebrate our religion?

Then, don't go to a country where your faith cannot be observed. If you go to a country, you are bound to embrace their laws and customs.

Cleberating Christmas is not a bad idea. Christmas doesn't need to have fabulous decorations and other extras. Christmas is a time to welcome God into hearts and do good stuff. Celebrating Christmas can't be stopped. Christmas is celebrated by going to mass and doing good to others. In the Philippines, they always celebrate Christmas. If non- Christians come, they don't mind that. And most of the foreigners join them in celebrating this marvelous event.

Christmas is a pagan an mostly non religious festival. Christianity tried to hijack it but if Jesus was born then all the historical data shows that it would have been mid year and nowhere near December.

Can't help laughing at Christians celebrating a pagan festival and ignoring the true dates for their leaders birth!!!!

Christians are also the only ones who selfishly try to keep it too themselves - thank goodness for the other religions and atheists who are much more inclusive and kinder to their fellow men!!!

IF WE HAD A SEPARATE HOLIDAY FOR ALL THE DIFFERENT BELIEFS WE WOULDNT HAVE ANY DAYS TO WORK, CAUSE THEY WOULD ALL BE HOLIDAYS. WHY SHOULD CHRISTIANITY OR SANTA CLAUS HAVE A DAY JUST FOR THEM. WHY NOT HAVE ONE DAY WHEN ALL THE FAITHS CAN CELEBRATE IN THEIR OWN WAY.THIS NATION WITH ALL ITS DIVERSE CITIZENS MUST AGREE ON SOMETHING TO KEEP THIS COUNTRY GREAT. WE SHOULD BE ONE PEOPLE AND HONOR ALL THE FAITHS EQUALLY.
