A window seat for peace and quiet, easier to sleep because it's out of the way but for the same reason your sort of overlooked.
You can easily be missed when the drinks or food come round so your calling the cabin crew back.
The biggest problem wit the aisle seat is you have to get up and down to let people to the toilet, or if they want to stretch their legs.
It also means if your anywhere near the toilet you have this queue of people stood over you, hanging around, bumping into your shoulder.
This also happens with the drinks/food trolley which are always 6 inches bigger than the aisle, expect to be knee capped on every flight!
The aisle seat are not quite as claustrophibic, your in the highest part of the cabin with lots more head room.
Finally, if the worst happens an aisle seat means the best place to get to that emergency exit.
Sit in a window seat and there's no way your going to get past that 32 stone bloke in the next seat.

They both suck if you're flying coach. The middle seat is the worst, by far.
Choosing the lesser of evils, I prefer the window seat so that I have a view. Something about looking down into the clouds never gets old for me.
If I were taller, I'd probably go for the aisle for a bit more leg room. They really pack you in like sardines in those planes.

Window. I love flying and aviation (hence my choice of profession) and love to look down on the earth below. The biggest flaw with the window seat is having to disturb everyone else when you need a wee, or the lack of extra legroom an aisle seat provides.
I still prefer the window seat though!

Depends on who's seated next to you? I prefer a window seat, because I love to listen to music and drift with the clouds. However, if you're seated next to someone who weighs more than 250 lbs., it might be better to get an aisle seat so it's less claustrophobic and easier to go to the restroom. Also depends on whether you're flying first class, business class or coach.

I love the window seat cause I like to see the view but, I hate it cause I hate to disturb the 2 people sitting next to me cause I have to get up ( and so do they ) cause I have to use the bathroom. So, I think I have to give up my views outside the window from now on and opt for an aisle seat.

i like the window seat - u get to watch the clouds / landscapes go by. if u are on the aisle seat it can be handy for access to the toilet or for getting served from the trolley, but u also get people brush past u all the time, which i don't like. u always get some idiot who can't walk in the centre of the aisle, and who ends up bumping into u.

for those who dont plan ahead the window seat.. because you can look out of the window. but we you are flying to america from england and its route goes over greenland all you get to view is ice, cloud and the occasonal glimpse of uninhabited land.
for those like me who plan everything. you pikc the aisle seat. you have extra leg room. you can get up when you want. and if you need to vomit... you can do it in the aisle!

Aisle-easier to get up for a walk around or to get the Stewardesses attention, and looking out of the window too much kind of reminds me of the fact that I'm thousands of feet above ground, which scares me a little bit.
