with no question jordan is...and it has nothing to do with shaqs free throw shooting.... jordan just made avg players better....look at some centers he had who put up productive numbers.....longley....wennington...cartwright.....purdue....i and on top of that u couldnt stop jordan..he can take the ball up the court and do what he wanted.....shaq needs someone to get him the ball....just look at how mnay game winning shots jordan and shaq have had.....good luck with shaq...shaq never won without a dominant 2nd player....yes pippen was there for mj....and he is in top 50 greatest players...even tho i feel he is undeserving...pippen is no kobe or wade for scoring...and kobe is a better defender...pippen was good...but only cause jordan made him

While Shaq may have dominated the game in his prime. It is still Jordan who gave his team a chance to win. How many times did Jordan cruised from the 1st to 3rd quarter then suddenly was on fire in the 4th quarter. How many game winning shots he made? When it was all said & done Bulls won 6 titles while Shaq had 4 rings to his credit.

Are you kidding me? There's no way you could compare Shaq's and MJ's leadership. For the sake of argument, MJ has done more than Shaq's effort to give their team a better chance of winning. Have you forgotten the 72-10 win record? Anyway Shaq has it's own record too, the playoffs 15-0. But it all comes down to "winning is nothing without the ring" and so I believe that MJ does it better.

Good question. I would have to say Jordan with a lot of both teams (Bulls & Lakers) coming down to the last seconds I think we all knew the Bulls would win. Plus Shaq had another Jordan on his team Kobe and then in Miami he had Wade. Pippen was not as good as Kobe or Wade.

I would have to go with Jordan. First, there are the amount of championships won . Second, Jordan could beat you off the dribble, or shoot from the outside. Shaq's only real presence is in the lane. He has to fight for position, before he even gets the ball, and the only time he is in on defense is if the opponent drives the lane. Whereas, Jordan could defend the point guard upcourt, and help with perimeter defense. He was not limited to the paint.

Dear Wayne C,
While Shaq as a big man could dominate the entire game- the truth is because of his poor free throw shooting you couldn't rely on him in the 4th quarter, overtime, etc. in tight games. i mean if you were down by two you wouldn't give the ball to Shaq because chances are he's going to go 0 for 2 or 1 for 2 from the line.
As great as Shaq is, you gotta give this one to Michael Jordan. This is coming from a Laker fan.

Jordan
Shaq dominated the game because of his big frame inside the paint. He could easily score those close shots unless double teamed.
But Jordan dominated the game by making the best out of his team mates and then would take over when the game is on the line. He was great in both ends of the floor and unlike shaq, he was a guard. It was harder for him as he needed to score by jump shots or by using his speed to drive inside.

Jordan might be little ahead of shaq because his team broke records in normal season wins a couple of times

Jordan.
You could give him the ball in crunch time. Shaq you can't because of his poor free throw shooting. Plus Shaq as far as I have seen has never hit a 3 pointer. Jordan did it in his sleep. I'd rather have MJ with the last shot than Shaq Diesel.
