Mother/Daddy or Father. No, I don't think you're ever to old to call your parents mommy and daddy. My Mother was only that to me... she wasn't a mommy or momma or whatever you want to call her. I've always called her Mother because that bond has never existed between us. My Father is a different story. Most of my life I called him Daddy, and at times, still do. However, I have recently found out that he is a liar and not the man I thought he was. Therefore, I have started calling him Father.

The first 3 combos are used... in turn... but mostly, Mom/Dad.
Since I am now "50+," the "Mommy/Daddy" doesn't show up when adressing them, since it is usually used by a young child.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

My mom's name is Cari, and I call her "Cahr". People think it's dissrespectful, but she actually usually doesn't answer to mom as much as she does Cahr. Go figure.
I just refer to my dad as, "Hey you in the red shirt and the oakleys!" But I do call him dad when I really need his attention.
It' perfectly fine you call your parents mommy and daddy, just because some people have offbeat families like myself, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with yours. :) Oh, and I'm 18 I guess I should mention.

Mom or Ma and Pop.
Sometimes I called them Mamason and Papason. They are both gone now.
You're never too old to call them mommy and daddy.
I always refer to him as Daddy when I talk about him.
When I talk about her I call her Mama.

My husband & I are in our late 50s.
I'm from the mid-west and still call my parents Mom & Dad
My husband is from the south and still calls his parents Momma & Daddy
.
We would NEVER addresss our parents by their given names...whether directly to them or in speaking of them to others.
These are "titles of love & respect" that a child should always use if aa mutual love & respect exists with their parents.
One should only use their parents' given names in cases where there is no mutual love & respect.
