Because what is happening to them is a result of the people who surround them. With no others around the would be killer will no longer be ridiculed or rejected by others. When a person kills in a psychopathic rage it is because they are failing to understand the point that you can't kill everyone. They want to be totally alone as they feel that the people around them have effected their lives in such a negative way that they no longer want human contact.

It's a far more complex problem than what we're seeing on the surface. Reminds me of the old "rat maze test" from the past. The more people you squeeze into a given space, the worse, I believe the tests shows, the condition will escalate.
I have this theory about the "age of innocence" where the respect for one another is being destroyed due to the exposure of violence. It's not just in the USA or England, it's all over the world, people of all backgrounds are feeling the pressure of helplessness in their society and, not being able to change it except through the senseless acts of violence.
The other issues is the availabilities of weapons and, how simple we as humans have made it to obtain them for use to kill each other.
Our Govt, world-wide, are doing a hugely poor job of keeping those with severe problems off the street and, not giving the treatments needed for those identified with a mental health problem. How many times do we keep releasing people back into society to kill another Innocent person because of this? These people have no business being outside of anything less than a "full-lock down" facilities for the rest of their life.
Sorry, I just can't accept the statement, "Let's give em a second chance"..Say what you will, but..when it's one of your love ones killed or traumatize as a senseless victim ,then tell me you don't feel the same.

Yes. It is very shocking and upsetting when you hear this news. It seems to be very frequent now, although is it being reported more, not sure. Although the killing sprees in America do seem more frequent. Could be drugs or mental health problems or both.
Best thing is not to get too depressed. There is also some fantastic news as well out there, so try and keep a balanced view and enjoy the life that you have. You cannot cure all the world's ills, but you can make yr own world and try and make it nice in the way you treat others and they treat u.

I am not sure that its the fact they are upset with themselves, more like the young man in America wanted to be famous so the report goes, and the thugs who kill other young people have no morals and no thought for the lives they take, belonging to a gang seems to be the driving force and drugs.

Why is it always deemed someone else's fault, he killed 8 totally random and innocent people, blame the father, mother, siblings, drugs, booze, school, mental illness, never the individual, why don;t we just say that in a gun culture, the chances of getting killed by one is pretty high. Sadly this disease has spread to the UK.

Everything is every bodies else's fault! For some reason most of us are convinced that we are not responsible for ourselves and the condition that we find our life to be in. Wow that is as clear as mud.
Or maybe it has something to do with the way we raised kids, or perhaps the fact that we have just about everything under the sun. & To much time on our hands to think about our condition.

And yet, with all of this contemplation of navels, no one seems to want to deal with the fact that this latest incident of carnage by a mentally disturbed young man was done with a firearm that he, by law, was not allowed to possess. I want the person who got that weapon for him to go to prison as an accessory to murder.
So, we will get another mass drive to place yet another gun control law on the books when the current laws (over 100 of them) don't seem to get enforced.

They feel pain and they think they are alone. They want others to feel their pain, not understanding that others are already going through their own pain.

In feeling isolated and alone from others, they destroy their own empathy with other human beings and instead see them as the enemy. Lashing out is the only thing they have left, their only cry for help.

i think what you are asking is called displaced anger !! we can become uncertain, confused, disoriented or just plain mentally unstable from the use of some type of drug like alcohol . drugs are only one example which may interfere with their ability to distinguish right from wrong.
