that he feels in his class we will learn as much as a Yale or Harvard professor. This is at SCSU in CT. I mean, he is a good professor, but if he was that good wouldn't he be teaching at a top university such as those?

I think that is his ego talking (I've been to SCSU, and there are some "interesting" faculty), but in reality, the professors at Harvard and Yale are good because of the research they do, not because they are the best teachers. I've had some appallingly bad teachers at top schools, and some really good ones at much lesser places. He could, in fact, be a great teacher, but if his research is only adequate, he would not be at a place like Harvard or Yale.

That professor is full of himself. Just take what he said with a grain of salt because he probably just wants to make himself look smart.
Just get as much information from his class as you can.

I never had a professor say that but I've had classes that definitely taught you almost as much. I think if he has to say it though it probably isn't going to happen.

...yeah my world civ teacher said that and I obviously didn't learn much from him.
I think it's one of those "I'll make the class feel good about this course" tactics.

this is no longer basic to attraction to a line between working and center type at these days. i might say that top type is conservative approximately many subject concerns. working and center instructions are greater liberal.this is purely my very own opinion.
