Three books I have started: "Trap Door", the new Sarah Graves mystery, Phillip Pullman "His Dark Materials, the Golden Compass trilogy, and "Little Altars Everywhere" by Rebecca Wells. I always have more than one book going at a time.

Guess I'll have to be happy with 2 pts. since I doubt you're reading Foreskin's Lament by Shalom Auslander. It's about an Orthodox Jewish guy who rails against the strictness of his life. He argues with God and bargains with him using the 613 commandments like they were so many cards. He poses interesting questions like are we victims of the Stockholm Syndrome (where people identify with their captor) if we believe in God (paraphrased). His tone tends to be strident leaning towards violent. It's been interesting being non-Jewish and comparing my opinions with his.
